Size: 34" bust, 28" waist, 37" hips.
This pattern was published by The Simplicity Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Misses' two-piece dress. Style 1 with fitted bodice and a slightly flared peplum has a shaped collar and a long or short sleeves. Style 2 has a built-up waistline with gathers at the front, and short puffed sleeves gathered to a point. The two-piece skirt has a slight opening at the sides." Detailed illustrated directions. Pattern dates circa 1937-1938.
Suggested fabrics: Linen, shantung, rayon and cotton crepe, silk or rayon crepe, rough crepe, silk linen, silk shantung, bengaline, wool crepe, sheer woolens, jersey, tweed, and novelty woolens. The colors were Venetian violet, purple, powder blue, navy blue, Adriatic green, Chinese peacock, cliquot beige, ruby wine, black, forest green, and brown.
Materials required: 4-1/2 Yds. 36" fabric.
This Vintage Revivals pattern is only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. This pattern is printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic.
