Ladies' Jumper with Surplice Closing

Size: 34" bust, 37" hips.
This pattern was published by an independent pattern company or one of the many patterns sold through newspapers and magazines. Originally the pattern was described as "Jumper Closing in Surplice Style, with Tucks at Shoulders of Front and Welted. Insert Pockets on Right Front. Long, Darted Sleeves, Perforated for Short Sleeves. Two-piece Skirt with Inverted Plait at Each Side and Attached to Camisole". Minimal directions. Pattern dates circa 1926.
Suggested fabrics: Jumpers were made of velveteen, flat silk crepe, wool flannel, lustrous silk, wool mixed bengaline, silk and wool jersey, and tub silk. The colors were black, brown, bisque, tan, blue, navy blue, mahogany, and powder blue.
Materials required: Dress 4 Yds. 36" wide. 3-1/2 Yds. 45" wide.
This Vintage Revivals pattern is only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. This pattern is printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic.
