This pattern was published by The Butterick Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Girl's Coat in Gibson style, in full or seven-eights length, with either of two styles of sleeves." Written directions. Pattern dates circa 1899.
Suggested fabrics: Serge, wool, pongee, broadcloth, cheviot, and cashmere. The colors were scarlet, navy, black, white, champagne, red, navy blue, castor and cream.
Materials required: 2-1/2 Yds. 45" fabric.
