The bodice of the gown has been modified from the original to accommodate a modern figure. If you should choose to shorten the bodice, it would not be inappropriate. The Taffeta foundation skirt is a seven-gored petticoat with a circular flounce at the bottom of the gores. Two rows of Frou-Frou are stitched to the hem of the circular flounce.
Materials Required: 2-1/4 yds 36" Satin for Bodice, 1-3/4 yds 45" Lining for Bodice, 7-1/4 yds 36" All over Lace, 10 yds 36" Silk Organza for Overlay, 4 yds 45" Taffeta for Foundation Petticoat, 2 yds 6" Lace Galloon for Sleeves, 3-3/4 yds 1" Picot Edge Moire Ribbon, 4 yds 1/8" Picot Edge Moire Ribbon, 3 yds 5"Moire Ribbon (or use Organza), 3 yds 1/2" Trim Lace for Skirt, 1 yd 3/4" Trim Lace for Collar, 1 yd 1/2" Lace Beading, 1 yd non-elastic Belting, 3" of 1" Twill Tape, 3-1/8 yds of 1" Flat Braid, 3-1/3 yds Featherboning.
